Terms of Service

1. Definitions

Capitalized terms have the meaning set out below. Unless otherwise specified, these Terms govern your use of the Platform.

  • "Service": The KNOA AI interview platform
  • "Client": The entity subscribing to the Service
  • "Participant": The person participating in an interview
  • "Content": Any data, text, audio, transcripts, prompts, files and information input to or generated via the Platform (including AI outputs).

2. Object

KNOA provides tools to conduct AI-assisted interviews with the goal of capturing, structuring and making knowledge reusable. The Service may include recording, transcription and AI analysis of conversations, as well as exporting results.

Some features may be experimental or subject to technical limitations. KNOA may modify or update the Platform to improve performance, security and reliability.

3. Client Obligations

The Client agrees to:

  • Ensure that interview participants have given their consent
  • Not use the service for unlawful or unauthorized purposes
  • Take responsibility for uploaded content and collected information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials
  • Take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access (e.g. user management, strong passwords, revoking access).

4. Intellectual Property

  • Interview content: Remains the property of the Client
  • Platform: All rights to the platform are reserved to KNOA
  • AI and content: AI systems do not acquire rights over processed content

Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by KNOA to improve the Platform without compensation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. AI outputs and limitations

The Platform may generate outputs using AI models (e.g. summaries, procedures, insights, documentation).

  • AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies and are not professional advice.
  • You are responsible for reviewing and validating outputs before using them for operational or decision-making purposes.
  • Some processing may be performed by third-party AI model providers; performance may vary depending on model capabilities and service availability.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the Platform in a way that harms, overloads, or compromises systems, or in violation of applicable laws.

  • No unlawful, fraudulent, or rights-infringing use.
  • No attempts to gain unauthorized access, aggressive scraping, or bypassing security controls.
  • No reverse engineering, decompilation, or attempts to extract source code except to the extent permitted by mandatory law.
  • You should avoid entering special categories of data (e.g. health data) unless necessary and supported by an appropriate legal basis/consent.

7. Plans, billing and payments

Access to advanced features may require a paid subscription.

  • Plans, included features, and pricing are those shown at the time of purchase or in the applicable agreement.
  • Unless cancelled, subscriptions may renew automatically according to the selected billing period (monthly/annual).
  • Applicable taxes and duties are the Client’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • The service is provided "as is" without implied warranties
  • KNOA is not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Maximum liability is limited to amounts paid in the last 12 months

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. SLA (Service Level Agreement)

  • Guaranteed uptime: 99.5%
  • Support: Email response within 48 business hours

10. Duration and Termination

  • Subscription is monthly or annual, automatically renewable
  • Termination is possible with 30 days notice
  • Upon termination, data will be deleted within 30 days

After termination, access and features may be disabled. You are responsible for exporting your data before closure if needed.

11. Changes to these Terms

KNOA may update these Terms for legal, technical, or organizational reasons. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice via the Platform or email where possible.

12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by Italian law. For any dispute, the Court of Milan shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
